Kimberly Yee has been the nation’s #1 ranked player in the girls 12's, 14's and 16's age divisions.

Kimberly started playing tennis at the ripe age of 3 years old with her father Adam Yee who went into an early retirement to coach both Kimberly and her brother Kristofer.

The dedication and sacrifice that Mr. Yee made has certainly paid dividends for the progress and development of Kimberly and Kristofer throughout their junior careers (Kristofer is starting his freshman year on scholarship at Vanderbilt University this fall and is ranked top five in the United States).

Both Yee players train at Tim Blenkiron's NO QUIT Tennis Academy and are coached by their father and Blenkiron, who won the NCAA Championships in doubles for UNLV in 1997.

Most recently Kimberly won the National Hard Court Championships, sweeping both singles and doubles. With this title Kimberly was awarded a wildcard into the US Open Junior event. This was Kimberly’s second opportunity playing the US Open as a junior and she was thrilled to compete at this prestigious grand slam event against the world’s best players.

Kimberly’s drive and tenacity to be her best both on and off the court have attributed to her success in the sport and as a student. Ms. Yee strives in the classroom with straight A’s as a sophomore at Odyssey Charter High School.

Kimberly maintains the same focus in the classroom on her assignments as she does the tennis court honing her game.

In addition to being a standout student and player, Kimberly is part of the Marty Hennessy Jr. Tennis Foundations "Team Bryan" Leadership program. The programs goal is to help youth to become professionals at life. Yee understands the power of her influence as a stand out athlete and uses it to help others.

The foundation’s work programs ask the participating children to earn their scholarships by giving back to the organization and the local community.

Yee has been through three USTA ten and under tennis workshops and teaches tennis to youth for free every Sunday at Lorenzi Park which is also the facility in which she trains.

Team Bryan was created by Ryan Wolfington with the help of the Bryan Brothers (Bob and Mike) who are the most successful doubles duo in the history of the sport and hold more titles than any other team. They most recently won the 2012 Olympic gold medal as well as the 2012 US Open titles. Through Team Bryan, Kimberly participates in giving back through fundraisers, tournaments, mentoring and volunteering at various events. Yee is a mentor to countless youth who all aspire to be just like her.

Kimberly will continue to travel and play in the nation’s top junior tournaments as well as women’s professional events. She is extremely motivated to becoming her best and understands the importance of her journey to greatness by focusing one day, one practice and one ball at a time.
